Café Mauri, 102 Ramblas de Catalunya, Barcelona

Café Mauri is at the hilt of café society in Barcelona. Inside you will find elegant salons with long glass cases displaying the most sumptuous pastries, cakes, chocolates and other confections the city has to offer. Scrumptious meals are also to be had here and consist of fresh vegetables, fish and pasta dishes. I took the opportunity to stock up on fresh produce for the next few days of my trip. Table service is only for beverages: for everything else, they give you a card, which they swipe each time you order something at the counters, and when you’re done you give it to the cashier.
